Neil Kelly

Neil Kelly has composed and recorded music since 1974. He also has wide experience as a conductor, bass player, record producer and musical director. After studying with legendary electronic music pioneer, Tristram Carey, his early career focused on touring, recording and performing with diverse artists ranging from Bo Diddley to Le Club Foote. From 1990-2000 he was lecturer in contemporary music theory and composition at Latrobe University. He co-founded the internationally acclaimed art-music group Slave Pianos in 1998. In 2000 he established Polka Records, a project studio producing both his own work and recordings for other artists. These include Andrew Byrne Band, Jon Campbell, Lucie Thorne and The Spaghetti Western Orchestra.
